Strong Women Movie Challenge #71 of 200 : JeeJa Yanin in Chocolate
I have prattled on about how awesome this lady is in a previous post (Raging Phoenix).
I will probably have a tendency to repeat myself from said previous post whilst gushing about Miss Yanin again here.
But some people are just that damn good at what they do. That devoted to a craft they love. Too perfect at it to mention just once.
JeeJa is the queen of kicking ass and breaking frames.
My introduction to the talents of Jeeja Yanin's brutally elegant artform was on a quiet afternoon, searching Netflix for a female driven story. Something to consider about the UK Netflix is that it sucks for movies of these kind. Sure, I've found a few gems hidden in amongst the Grown UPs 2's and the latest Liam-Neeson-takes-back-whatever-has-been-taken-away-this-time movie. But you get my frustration.
Raging Phoenix was the movie I eventually settled on. And I don't mind admitting that the cover looked stereotypical. The name alone followed the 90s action template of throwing 2 random over-the-top words together to get a title. Even the description was a little silly. But by this point I was frustrated at Netflix. So I wanted to see a woman kick somebodys ass. So I chose JeeJa.
