    Actor Salony Luthra has wowed audiences across North America with her bold and raw portrayal in the short dramatic thriller Forbidden.

    Forbidden is based on the true story of a girl named Jasleen who was born and raised in New York and a doctor by profession who became a victim of honour killing. Salony plays the young medical graduate Jasleen in the film.

    In order to bring out the rawness and authenticity to her character, Salony had to look and feel the part for which she was put through intense training by the director of her film Forbidden. She underwent intense physical training from action and stunt director Robbie P Smith who has trained Hollywood stars Brad Pitt and Al Pacino in the past. The stunt director who helped Salony with her action rehearsals has also worked on Hollywood films like ‘John Wick’ (2014), ‘Run All Night’ (2015), ‘Okja’ (2017) and acclaimed shows ‘Daredevil’ and ‘Quantico’.

    Says Salony, “The character I play in the film is based on the real life love story of a very courageous girl named Jasleen, born and raised in New York City who paid the price to follow her heart. There are scenes in the film which has a lot of action. I trained in New York under the supervision of Robbie Smith who is one of the biggest action and stunt director
